From YouTube, produced by MuchoMath
This video indicates it is for pre-algebra, however this video would be good for anyone who is reviewing or learning multiplication. This video starts with the different ways people write multiplication equations, using a dot, the times symbol, or parenthesis. They talk about what multiplication means, it is repeated addition. Then they discuss the commutative property for multiplication. They show this using the number line. They show this using many different problems. The video concludes with using subtraction to find a number close to the number you know, for example if you 7 x 10 is 70, then what is 7 x 9? Video is good quality and good for all students as review or initial learning of the concept. (09:52)
